My 9-year-old has been begging to do "just one more project" every night this week, and I'm amazed she's now writing her own simple games. The coding cards are laid out so clearly that even I can help when she gets stuck.

The projects are clever enough that my 7-year-old begs to do them, and I love that each box teaches a real video game coding concept, not just drag-and-drop fluff. We made a working space shooter last week — she was so proud.

My son actually asks to do coding practice, which I never thought would happen. The game projects are just right for his age, and seeing him build something he can play keeps him coming back each month.
