My toddler usually fights bath time, but she actually giggled when I read this story while she was in the tub. The short, simple sentences helped her sound out a few words on her own for the first time.

The repetitive vocabulary is perfect for my beginning reader, and the short sentences helped him finally sound out "bath" on his own. The story about resisting bath time was so relatable that he asked to read it twice.

The repetitive sentences in this book finally got my son saying "no bath" along with the story, which is huge progress for his reading. It keeps his attention just long enough to get through the simple words.
