This book had me cracking up from the very first chapter, especially the part about the psychic capital of Cassadaga. Dave Barry’s search for the Skunk Ape is comedy gold, and it’s even better than I expected for a Florida fan.

I can’t remember the last time I laughed out loud on a plane, but Dave Barry’s rants about Weeki Wachee’s mermaids and the psychic capital of Cassadaga had me snorting into my tray table. The hunt for the Skunk Ape alone is worth the price.

My wife dragged me to Weeki Wachee last spring and now I can't stop quoting this book. The mermaid chapter alone is worth it, but the Skunk Ape hunt had me laughing on the beach.
