My husband and I started Jambo Books because we were searching for high-quality books starring children of color in situations where children’s literature rarely places them — making friends, raising pets, loving grandparents and fighting dragons. Our readers love the stories!

Lily ★★★★★

My one-year-old absolutely lights up when we read these books. It's wonderful to see stories where kids like him are just being kids and making friends.

Mia U. ★★★★★

The illustrations in these books are so bright and engaging that my toddler actually sits still during story time, something that rarely happens with other board books. I also love that the characters look like real kids from diverse backgrounds, which makes reading feel more inclusive.

Stella ★★★★★

My baby loves the sturdy board books — they’ve survived plenty of drool and grabbing without a tear. It’s refreshing to see storylines where kids of color are just having fun, not just learning lessons.
