Bump Bot

My 10-year-old daughter built this from scratch in an afternoon, and the section on parallel circuits was clear enough that she now wants to try modifying the wiring herself. It’s actually sturdy enough to bump into furniture without breaking.

Watching our son’s face light up as the bot actually followed its taped path across the kitchen floor was incredible—the parallel circuit lesson really clicked during assembly.

Building the circuit board together really helped my son grasp how switches control the flow, and watching it bump its way around the living room floor was way more fun than I expected.
