歷史小說 - 4本驚喜書盒

Already finished two of the four books and both were completely new-to-me authors I'd never have picked up otherwise. The mix of settings—one in ancient Rome, another in 1920s Shanghai—kept things exciting.

Opening one after another has been such a treat, and the variety of settings and time periods kept me reading for weeks. I especially appreciated that all four books were brand new and genuinely highly rated, which made the whole box feel like a thoughtful gift to myself.

I've been slowly working through the box and already two of the books have surprised me with how gripping the stories are. The variety in time periods is perfect—one is set in ancient Rome, another during the Industrial Revolution. Exactly what I needed to escape into different eras.
